Colour Blind

The recent news about racism reminds me of a story that happened the past two years.

My brother Yah was 5 that time. my father, Yah and me were heading to Kedai Muda Osman ( a bookshop).
we were passing by a chinese workshop. there was a chinaman sitting on a stool, he looked at us with a cold look and my father and me just ignored him and walked straight to the bookshop.
and little Yah just followed us from behind.

this is actually in Tumpat.(gambar hiasan)

Then suddenly a cute little chinaboy holding a hard Ultraman toy ran towards Yah.

both my father and the chinaman were shocked. and so do I.  the chinaman rush towards his boy- afraid that he would hit Yah with his toy.

but before the chinaman even reach the boy, the little boy held out his Ultraman toy to Yah. that cute little living thing gave the toy to Yah, who is a Malay boy with tan skin.

    and that stunt us.

how children can be so pure. so innocent. so non racist. and so colour blind.

 yes. children are colour blind.

that put us, adults or young men and women, into a big shame. how could we judge people, and discriminate them just because they are different from us. just because of our skin are different we cant treat them differently. and worse, unfairly.

the most important thing is unity. we have to unite for the sake of Malaysia, for the sake of our generation-guys, and your children generations-moms and dads and also the upcoming generations and so on.
andi believe unity  brings peace.

so cheer up. smile to everyone, even to those who were darker, or fairer than you. show your respect to others.and stop stereotyping.

because how one generation loves, the next generation learns.

I just hope that we could go back to those days when we played with friends from different backround and races without any sense of racism. what we see is only Ali, Ah Meng and Raju. nothing more. nothing coloured-ful.
